A plain-English summary of what Score Edge collects when you register for a tournament, what we do with it, and how to get it back or delete it.
What we collect
When you register for a tournament through Score Edge, we collect:
- Identity: first and last name, email address, phone number (optional).
- NSCA classification: NSCA member number (when applicable), 12-gauge class, sub-gauge class, concurrent eligibility, gender. Hunters supply none of this; first-time shooters self-declare.
- Address: home club, country, street address, city, province/state, postal/zip code. Used for prize mailing, insurance forms, and to confirm the right person at check-in.
- Tournament selections: the events you registered for, the rotation slot you picked, your squad code or pre-invite, lunch tickets, t-shirt size, optional notes.
- Payment status: what you owe at check-in, and whether the host club marked you paid (we do not store credit-card numbers — payments handled by your host club at the range).
What we do with it
- Register you for the tournament you picked. Your info goes to the host club so they can run check-in, assign squads, and contact you about schedule changes.
- Remember you for next time. We build a master shooter record so the next tournament you register for — at the same club or any other Score Edge club, anywhere — pre-fills your info. You enter it once.
- Run the scoring. Your name and classification appear on the live leaderboard during the event and on the public results after.
- Communicate with you. Receipts, schedule changes, and (if you opt in) future tournament invitations. Score Edge does not sell or rent your info to third parties for marketing.
Who we share it with
- The host club for the tournament you registered for. They get the info needed to run check-in, build squads, and post results.
- NSCA for classification reporting on NSCA-sanctioned events, in line with NSCA's own member-record rules.
- Service providers we use to run the platform (cloud hosting, email delivery, error monitoring). They are contractually bound to handle your data only for Score Edge purposes.
- That's it. We do not sell to advertisers, brokers, or marketing lists.
How long we keep it
As long as you have a Score Edge profile, or until you ask us to delete it. We may keep a minimal anonymized record (no personal identifiers) of tournament results for historical leaderboards.
How to see, change, or delete your info
Email info@getscoreedge.com from the email address on your registration. We will respond within 7 business days. You can:
- Ask for a copy of everything we hold on you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your profile. Past tournament results are anonymized rather than removed (so leaderboards don't go blank); the personal-identifier portion is removed.
Cookies and tracking
Score Edge uses session cookies to keep you logged in to the club portal. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not track you across other websites.
Children
Score Edge follows a three-tier age policy aligned with US COPPA, EU GDPR, and Canadian PIPEDA:
- 18 and older — you may register and use the Platform yourself.
- 13 to 17 — you may register and use the Platform only with a parent or legal guardian's consent. By registering, the parent or guardian confirms they have given that consent.
- Under 13 — the Platform is not intended for direct use by children under 13. A parent or legal guardian must register on behalf of the child and is the user under our Terms.
NSCA Junior and Sub-Junior classes include minors and must be registered consistent with the rules above. We collect only the information needed to run the event.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information without parental consent, contact info@getscoreedge.com — we will delete it promptly.
Where your data lives
Score Edge servers are hosted in the United States. By using Score Edge from outside the United States, you consent to your information being processed in the United States.
Security
We use modern encryption (HTTPS in transit, encrypted database at rest). No system is perfectly secure; we do our best, and if a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you promptly per applicable law.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we will post the updated policy here and, where appropriate, email registered shooters before the change takes effect.
